    @nina_kali_nina Yeah, the menu definietly bugged out on me at least once now that I think about it. Thanks for the tip about tethering, that could get me up and running at least!

    @roaminchemicals that's great to hear!
    I noticed that the installer bugs the most on formatting the disk, so these days I format the disk externally the way I like, and then it's a smooth sailing in most of the cases.

    @nina_kali_nina It's not just about me, though. It's tragic, several non-techy friends actually wanted to have an online Linux install party last year because of everything Microsoft is doing with AI, but before long there was enough going on with Linux giving me pause that the idea kind of fizzled out. I was already nervous about guiding people to install Linux remotely, NetBSD is right out. Maybe we'll get there someday.

    @roaminchemicals @nina_kali_nina I can relate. I just switched to Mint, I was making a lot of notes and a guide for myself just to find out this. I am non-techy and these news are extremely discouraging for me...🥲

    @news_and_other_things_ @roaminchemicals I'd say you're still doing the right thing and will benefit from it long term.. But as a tech savvy person I feel like I've let down so many people by somehow not doing enough to protect everyone from harms :( it's obvious that I can't control what Linux community will do, but I spent good 20 years prophethising Linux, and... Sigh. Yeah. It's very sad. I hope we'll make it out alive.
