@wyatt the problem is less HTTP and more TLS as well as IP itself. this can be solved with overlay networks relatively easily. i don't really think HTTP is that great of an application protocol to serve anything but HTML which i have no alternative to at the moment

@wyatt it's just annoying that it's used for resources that have nothing to do with hypertext because that means i have to deal with its bullshit

i almost want ftp back for reasons like that
i definitely am mad browsers dropped ftp support several years ago
