So if the US is lining up on side RU what does that do the US <> IR conflict?

Given that RU & IR are strategic partners and RU drones are built with IR technical assistance.

Or are we going to continue doing the chicken dance where the US claims to side with UA but acts against it and is most useful as a disinformation channel?

Meanwhile EU is being destabilized by both RU and US but seems to be determined to stay out of RU control.

Also, if Starlink is a defining asset in the current theater someone is going to be motivated to take it out or take it over.

@laprice russia is a mess and if iran can survive US assault by simply shutting down outside internet access i can't imagine russia has any advantage over the US

@laprice starlink seems like an ideal way to surveil areas without cable internet access and i hadn't considered whether that might be a way for the US to break into iranian networks

@hipsterelectron having special forces install a physical backdoor on an infrastructure network seems like basic combat.

But it's use and denial of use as a C3 layer for uncrewed assets in motion gives it's possessor a strategic advantage and denying that strategic advantage becomes a priority for anyone for whom that is a strategic disadvantage.

At this point UA is being denied access to Starlink by a US linked actor; presumably to RU's benefit.

IR is currently locked out of starlink but apparently has multiple terminals through alternate channels and undeclared purchases. Most of those terminals are probably not in country for obvious reasons.

However Starlink is a strategic risk to IR and they may be quite motivated to figure out how to deny it's utility to their opponents.

Maybe even kinetically. IR could def field launch capability that can reach intercept vectors for Starlink satellites.
