As scheduled since Spacedate 42159.3 Spacefleet is today ending support for Personnel Transport Protocol. As you should be aware only Secure Serialised Humanoid protocol will be available for beaming to and from Spacefleet vessels from this date.

Yikes that snuck up on me. I mean I’m technically ready but I’ll miss the old way. Nicking pocket change from transporting spacefleet personnel was good while it lasted.

@Unixbigot They just need to figure out how to manufacture artificial wormholes and we can switch from Assembly transporters to Portal transporters and save a bundle on existential counseling.

@Unixbigot Also, how does SSHP interact with the biofilters and active weapons protocols? It's gotta break end-to-end security at one end or the other or else the old "exploding phaser" exploit's back. Maybe you can use that?

@Unixbigot I really liked hacking the in-band options of the old Trusted External Lensing Nearfield Emitter Transporter.

OK, the RANDOMLY-LOSE option could be a bit dangerous, but there was a common race condition in SEND-LOCATION that could get you free long-distance connections.

@Unixbigot President Skroob of Planet Spaceball has ordered that this update be deployed the minute it is available on pain of That. After last year's incident with Snotty, a young Lieutenant was promoted to the transporter technician post, but he turned out to be an Asshole.
