"I have spent much of my life trying to understand how we might make that kind of help less dependent on good fortune." What a life's work; how good that is.
@brainwane this is the stuff I try to remind myself to think about every time I feel mocked for my degree, or disrespected because of centering psychological experience, or subject to all the stereotypes that I couldn't be smart or technical. For all the flaws and humanness of the field psychology is a place where we get to spend our careers trying to work on stuff like this.
