@ChrisMayLA6 I question how we let wealthy people think that they "earned" it all from the honest labour of their hands. They really think they have already contributed to society by raking a big pile together.
Canada has a somewhat robust #exittax and I think all countries should adopt something along those lines.

Fine, you don't contribute to the country at the moment so no one will miss you, plus all your property & estates can & will be seized in lieu of the tax you're avoiding
Then we can revoke your passport & citizenship, you can re enter the country when you pay the tax bill covering your stay in advance
Why "in advance", well you're a proven flight risk aren't you
