@randahl well the good news for Trump is that almost all American cars run on 'gas', i.e. gasoline or petrol, not diesel. Volkswagen tried to get Americans to run diesels but 'dieselgate' finished that attempt.
The bad news is that trucks and other commercial vehicles, that move stuff about the USA, run on diesel. Ditto tractors and other agricultural and mining vehicles.
