This interactivity is to some degree a function of size. If an account is massive then there would be too many replies to read and you couldn't respond to enough of them. And maybe that's why people who want social media to be a way to broadcast and promote their ... brand or themselves just won't ever like the fedi.

The algorithm is organic and it puts a soft upper limit on reach.

    That's not a bug it's a feature IMO.

I feel bad about turning this discussion into one about AI. But, from the moment LLMs were rolled out I imagined that they would be used to build false organic social media presences by having automated responses to tweets. So, that when you replied to Taylor Swift or whoever you'd get a response that felt "real" ... but I don't know if it's been applied in this way or with any success.

Monitoring an entire social feed and making more interactions might be too hard?

    What do we think?

Are those of ya'll who still go on big social media having encounters with bots that try to talk to you? Is anyone buying tokens to make text to make their account seem more responsive and attentive?

If it is happening is it effective?
