It's a really nice feeling to walk into the local chippy, or the curry takeaway, and have them ask "the usual?". That only happens when you live in the same place long enough, and go to the same local business regularly, to be remembered.

I've lived in my current place for 2 years now. That's the longest I've lived anywhere since I got back from China at the end of 2019 (for what was meant to be a few months holiday).
