I'm sitting on a beach (Skala Beach, just south of Ammoudia) and I can see Kefalonia, 120km (75mi) away.
(Yes, the peaks are tall enough to be seen above the curvature of the earth).

Oct 14, 2026, 10:07 AM@liilliil That's exactly right. The beach is at the bottom of a cliff, the parking lot is at the top (as well as the beach bar) and you've got to take some stairs down to the actual beach.
