@jordant @andresmh i was thinking a writing a public blog post about why i don't hire high schoolers or work with high schoolers remotely on research; my prediction is that it would all be ~accurate, but would come off as me being an elitist jerk. that said, the difference between being an elitist jerk and an expert is hard. but, anyway, gist is most/all budding researchers would be better off making use of the local experts they have nearby (science teachers, etc)
