    @flexghost The cheapest, most bottom-shelf whisky-derivative WHICH IS NOT AMERICAN. In this particular case, it's "Ballantine's Finest Blended Scotch Whisky", plus (unfortunately American-owned) Coca-Cola.

    I'm on my third now, after about... four hours. When I say "third", though... See, I mix in this big old jam jar that I use as a glass. When I say "one", I'm talking about somewhere on the order of four or five shots, appropriately mixed. So as I'm halfway through "number three", I'm about... (aw, shit--math!)... ten to twelve shots in, or so? When I get to the bottom of this "glass", I'll be fit for bed, and happily snoring. In the meantime, it's late '80s movies and music!

    @flexghost Tonight, it's 1991's L.A. Story. Lots of fun irreverence related to American exceptionalism and opulence in the "kingdom" of LA in the late '80s.

    Tomorrow, perhaps, it will be---strangely enough for Steve Martin--Planes, Trains and Automobiles, as it's *Canadian* Thanksgiving this weekend. I watch this movie at least once every year. It's *that good*.

    @flexghost This movie was the first time I'd seen SJP in anything, and I fell for her. Mind you, I fell for every woman in this movie. It was... a hormonal time in my life, you understand. It's not my fault.
