    @patpro What a coincidence, I also fixed my mouse today. Apparently dust had accumulated on the rubber ball (again). 😁

    You seem to have an earlier version of the same device, with a wheel instead of a ball

    It's not my mouse. It's an old mouse with a rubber ball inside it. The electronics looks very old school. I think the photo may have been taken by p.kaczmarek2

    @JohanEmpa well, mine is a keychron M3M-A1 and as far as I can say the problem is the occasional misalignment between one of the lateral button and its inside electronic counterpart.
