    Good news! The starter culture is much more active today. It’s not baking strength yet, but that should happen in another feeding or two.
    A small (½ cup) Mason jar sitting on the glass turntable plate of a microwave oven. It has a white plastic cap and a purple rubber band looped around it near the bottom. The starter culture inside has grown to about twice its original volume, using the rubber band as a guide.
