    Oopsie. Was running a bunch of network measurements / traceroutes from my house to my office machine and apparently some component in CMU's network has decided that was not OK and now I can't access the campus network at all from home. 😂

    (I mean, I can, because networking professor, but not directly.)

    @dave_andersen this reminds me of the time in 1999 where I probed every NTP server I could find on the Internet from my desktop at MIT. I got a very polite note from their network operations team saying "don't do that. or if you do, give us a heads up first". It was a more innocent time...
