(I intensely dislike LVM systems, usually for their overcomplexity, but OpenBSD desperately needs one because it has _very_ complex partitioning by default, and that partitioning is part of its security model. Install into a simple root+swap setup & you significantly weaken the OS.)

Saying that, there is an effort: GEFS is being written for 9front and OpenBSD at once.
