Nazonazokiyoubinbou@mastodon.socialSep 7, 2026, 10:34 PM@dnkboston @FediThing "Monitoring the enemy" by helping them destroy people and societies is definitely... well, it's definitely a take...
And does it require an account just to view stuff? Couldn't they "monitor the enemy" through TOR browser while not logged in?
I feel like their excuse is so flimsy it just can't even stand even without really thinking about it...

@nazokiyoubinbou I am honestly thinking about journalists more than anyone else. And whatever, people are going to do what they want to or feel they need to, and I don't really want to be the arbiter of who gets to do what. But I also really don't want to listen to anyone bs'ing about it.

@dnkboston @FediThing Like I said though, they can monitor the enemy without helping the enemy...

@nazokiyoubinbou Agreed @FediThing
FediThing :progress_pride:FediThing@chinwag.orgSep 7, 2026, 11:55 PM@nazokiyoubinbou @dnkboston I've heard this excuse trotted out so often and so unconvincingly, wondering if it is what far right people tell each other to say. It doesn't seem like a good faith reason.
