@sanityinc exactly. it's always bugged me, but now it feels completely inaccurate (and also really bugs me!) -- every time I see a headline talking about tech it's always SV centric, and almost always not relevant to what I do (or mischaracterizing it). makes me cringe to think how those I know NOT in this field (in SV or out) think about what I do (lot worse than the old oh your in computers, "can you fix my Windows issue" bit)
