@mdstevens0612 Canonical example is Sugababes. Slowly each of the original three members were swapped out until there were no original members. In the meantime, the original three made up, but couldn't call themselves the same thing. Luckily, eight years later, they got the rights back after the 'imposter' band stopped and now continue to tour as Sugababes and with all original members
