Has anyone travelled the Balkan area of Europe. I've don Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania and I am trying to direct my friend where to go. #travel Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Greece are places I have never been. I get sunburn even thinking about Greece.
Dalmatia is going to be rammed with tourists and Kosovo might be pencilled in, just a bit jaded by sensitive borders

For me the purple route is most interesting but I would change it by taking the sleeper train from Bar to Belgrade

@humanhorseshoes I've done that sleeper train trip from the Bar end, fairly basic old trains but cheap and fun.

@NarrelleMHarris @humanhorseshoes I thought Romania and Bulgaria were great last year, and they have much better rail options than the Western Balkans, where international rail connections have fallen apart.
