Many years ago, I decided to make opening a new tab in my browsers open the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special: page. and it's just the best.

The results vary a lot in terms of interest, of course. but rarely do I learn nothing, and every so often? Just a pure gem: Today for example: I was introduced to: Aristolochia chilensis (orejas de zorro "fox ears").

Native to Chile, this vine is kinda like a pitcher plant, but *feeds* the flies instead of digesting them (and also smells bad, is poisonous and feeds caterpillars who also then become poisonous!):

@logosity this sounds fun, but i have a bad feeling i'd end up doing a presentation at work or something and inevitably open a new tab which happens to send me to the page for "intercourse" which subsequently leads to my firing

@mjdxp a risk? sure, but it's been like 20 years and I don't recall ever getting a NSFW tab. there's a LOT of pages--I feel like I get a LOT of stub pages for obscure politicians and athletes from around the world 😂. (and I tend to use different browsers for work and personal so... just not on the work one?)
