@ocean @alice my wife @irene is allergic to cats, but she went to the UW allergy clinic and the attending there told her "don't let allergies define your life, no one has ever overdosed on non-drowsy antihistamines"
...and now we have four cats.

@ocean @alice @irene I thought "this cannot possibly be true", but as far as I can tell, indeed, there are no reports of anyone ever overdosing on antihistamines. Challenge accepted?

@dan @ocean @alice @irene (very much not medical advise) the outside has been hell for my body recently and I went around looking at testing and papers for antihistamines. It seems like it's very easy to hit max effectiveness, even with low doses, but it still wears off in the same amount of time. So when needed I found splitting tablets in half and taking morning/afternoon is much more effective for me.
I think the reason it's sold as once a day is to make instructions and compliance easier
It could just be a placebo for me though

Which antihistamine do you take, if you dont mind me asking? Allergy season here has kept me indoors and miserable, and my twice a day zyrtec aint cutting it.

@dan @ocean @alice @irene my wife, bless her, saw my face as I contemplated giving up the feral kitten we were trying to foster out, and signed up for daily antihistamines
and then about a year later told me that we needed a second cat.
