#introduction #newhere

Should have done a proper intro a few days ago, but it's not too late I suppose :neocat_laugh_sweat:

Hi, I'm Burger. I'm a nerd on computers (obviously) and I like messing around on the Interwebs (obviously).

I got into computers around 2022, starting with messsing around with Linux and gradually transitioned into becoming a fully fledged FOSS fan, particularly a huge advocate of copyleft licensing.

I started self hosting only about a month ago, beginning with self hosting Matrix and now Sharkey. (thanks to the wonderful folk at https://omada.cafe providing me hosting resources free of cost!)

My self hosting is not particularly the best maintained but I do my best and do it out of the love of the game. :neofox_googly_shocked:

As for other beliefs, I am anti-AI, anti-bigotry (and vehemently anti-Nazi), anti-billionaire, pro-LGBT rights, pro-trans rights.

So yeah, this is me :)
