    Duration of sleep is considered, so post early of your cat starts snoring at the beginning and carries on all day.

    The main consideration is style, and ridiculousness.

    Previous winners invoked moves like
    Basket Leg (sleeping with one leg out of a basket) , Shrimping, Face Plant.

    You would think that classics like "Otter Paw" "Tight Curl" would be in there, but it seems a post-modern transformation is under way in the cat sleeping world.

    If any last minute twists are added they will be posted with the hashtag #catsleepingContest

    Not a huge fan of the Kennedy Center honorees chosen by the fascist takeover of the arts, but there is one exception, so maybe a special bonus challenge for tongue-out sleeping in honor of KISS.

    Our contestants will be:

    StroopWaffel, (known for his hookshot and team sleeping, also a good snore)

    Girl Trouble, (mostly a tight curl, but she can trash-sleep on a pile of stuff, and she has been known to otter paw, and snore)

    Armstrong, He is shy, but has a power floof if he comes out of the closet he could be a barn burner.

    Fergus, Mostly a sun chaser because he needs to warm his brain in order to think at a remedial level. But who knows what he might deliver.

    There is no need to pre-register your contestants but we look forward to seeing your cats at the contest.

    So get your cats and the boxes, sunny spots, piles of clothes, and precarious situations ready for the big day.
