@jima So uh I was working decades ago with a large defense contractor who had their own internal networking testbed that served some of the same purposes that our testbed, Emulab, did. Many of their teams much preferred to use ours, instead of the one they had developed, and their developers were a bit peeved about this

I learned the reason for this preference during a site visit

To define experiments in Emulab, you wrote a script in Tcl, which kinda ew.

To define experiments in their internal tool, you described network topologies using Excel. Somehow. And I assume lost half your remaining sanity points in the process.
