trying to recreate a cool effect I saw from @zachlieberman. basically just rending with points and simulating depth of field by displacing the points. Not sure if the technique has a name. The approach is very noisy, so I still want to improve file size, compression, etc.

this one kinda gave me alien circuitry vibes

a random loop with sci-fi vibes that I felt compelled to make.

Mastodon allows you to create lists of accounts. My current favourite list is titled "Generative Art":

- Adam P @r_flash
- Danpiker @Danpiker
- Etienne Jacob @bleuje
- incre.ment @incre_ment
- Jess Hewitt @jesshewitt
- Joseff @jn3008
- Laurent Malys @lo
- Noisemaker Bot @noisemakerbot
- Roni Kaufman @ronikaufman
- Steven Dollins @scdollins
- Yann Le Gall @ylegall

It's an easy way to view the cool #art the above authors create/share. If you have your own lists for #art please share. 🙏 Thanks.

dithered noise loop inspired by vitekvisuals.
I am always impressed by the features I find in ffmpeg. Here I used the filtergraph for pixelation and dithering.

sorry if this one is a bit creepy.

no light without dark

wrinkle cycle

I thought this effect was cool, seems like some kind of solar magnetic field image display

Making some cool effects by sampling points on curves and using those points to define a complex function.

icosphere molting loop

I kinda prefer this variation

smooth shape contours and smooth color fills. inspired by a sketch from Zac Lieberman

Implementing this grid pattern/effect that I saw from Mario De Meyer.

I was able to re-create this tiling pattern that I had previously seen from @Danpiker . I'm not sure what to call this, maybe an "irregular pythagorean tiling"?
Also my implementation might not be completely correct because there are some minor imperfections and overlaps, especially near the origin (maybe it's expected?).
