What's clear here to me, is how this new videogame development process is being framed.
If you watch the video, there isn't any actual sense that it's enabling a new generation of storytellers; it's not depicting a process that involves actual creative expression.
It's all framed as one attention economy dopamine roller coaster that can be mined of bite sized meme-able moments.
No one could watch this trailer and imagine someone might use this process to build a game that emotionally touches someone, or challenges someone. It reduces an actual art form, to jangling keys in front of a child to distract them.

My heart goes out to my fellow queer employees in universities across the US. As we lost title ix protections for sexual orientation and gender identity today.
A lot of places are reporting impacts on students, but title ix covered more than students.
A lot of #lgbtq employees at universities across the country are now down to a patchwork of state laws preventing discrimination in their workplaces; if they have them at all.
I remember working in higher ed, when title IX was extended to cover folks like me.

We're rapidly moving into a post-FLOSS world.
In part because LLMs are poised to scrub the licenses off of code.
AND in part because LLM generated code reproduces near-verbatim code from other #FLOSS projects, without attribution or respect to copyleft.
But mostly because FLOSS developers can't be bothered not to use the proprietary labor saving devices, built from the stolen labor of other FLOSS developers.
IF FLOSS developers don't care about the stolen labor, and disrespected licenses; and the copyright concerns, no one will. #AntiAI #NoAI
Here is the other thing, a lot of #FLOSS projects are taking in a lot of #LLM generated code now in the grey-limbo of no policy.
AND the longer projects take to ban it, the less likely they are to ever ban it.
"No policy" means tacit acceptance is the status quo for a lot of projects.
The time for #KDE to ban LLM generated code has kind of passed. I just don't believe it's possible for them. Their unlikely to reverse commits like this.

Fundamentally one person's "restrictions to LLM usage" is "codifying some acceptable LLM usage". They are two sides of the same coin.

Im on my own journey there; but im curious about anyone else out there, who is changing up there stack over this, and what choices theyve ended up making.
I really do think the best way to think about LLM code in your stack; is as a pollutant being dumped by mega-corporations and their sycophants into the #FLOSS ecosystem.
It's going to take a lot of fighting over a long time, to get the ecosystem clean again. It's sad, it's worth stopping and mourning for a bit. But we have to roll up our sleeves too.
Don't think in terms of "oh god it's everywhere, there is nothing I can do to avoid it." Figure out small proactive steps you can take, that help the situation incrementally. #AntiAI
