On 24 August 2026 X Corp. sent cease and desist letters demanding a permanent takedown of Nitter instances and the project’s repository. On 8 September 2026, they sent another, with the same demands and legal threats.
My September 7th update said the project would continue with legal representation in place. That was based on assurances I received and believed, which have since turned out to be untrue. I apologize for the misleading information.
Nitter currently has no legal counsel.
I’m seeking funding and legal help to fight for the future of Nitter. If you’re a lawyer, an organization, or anyone who can help, please get in touch. Any further news will be posted here. does anyone have any resources to help out

hi, bit of an odd thing for this account
my father has vaguely come across A Guy who has a supply of decommissioned retired solar panels but nowhere to offload them
how do i get him and/or The Guy in contact with some community-scale projects that can make use of them (e.g. small-scale backyard/balcony/etc systems, not a scrapper)?
location: Silicon Valley, California, USA
🔁 appreciated
edit: you can start by DMing me on fedi, or email r@arcanenibble.com
$SPOUSE and I are gonna try to check out the Ottawa mastodon meetup.
The 64-Bit Edition of Practical Compiler Construction is now finished and I am currently waiting for my proof copy. This usually takes about two weeks, and then you will be able to buy it.

BTW, Grim Dawn is currently $5 on Steam. It's basically Diablo 2 but a) much more emphasis on character builds (but also very forgiving), b) Victorian rather than medieval, and c) still the product of a small indie studio.
If you're curious about this game I occasionally blather about, there's a low-risk way to try it out.

Calling "shotgun!" prior to a car ride derives from the Old West phrase "riding shotgun," which referred to a second armed employee sitting next to the stagecoach driver as security against people attacking the stage, so, yes, it kind of IS your job to get out and fight that guy I just flipped off.
