Glauben die Anhänger der Flacherde-Theorie eigentlich, dass der Mond ebenfalls flach ist ?
Oder hat er die Form einer Glühbirne, weil er ja leuchtet ?
Fuck Christopher Columbus.
What language do you speak best? (Hypothesis: There are many French & German speakers in the Fediverse.)
:fediverse: Boosts appreciated!

I read some post about how Mastodon consists primarily of German-speaking creatures talking in English. I'm gonna do a poll, need to test that. Boosts highy appreciated!
So, do you speak German?
#rainbow without rain or bow 😉

Ich würde auch sagen, dass diese Treppe 1A war.
Vielleicht etwas schmal aber dennoch hervorragend.
Less than ten days ago I was still in warm and sunny Chioggia, Italy. They also call it "Little Venice", and I really loved hanging around there. In contrast to the real Venice 20 km north, you can even use your bicycle to get around. Meanwhile, back in Stockholm, Sweden, we had several days of rainy autumn weather. A strong contrast, and thinking back to Chioggia fills me with melancholy. I love experiencing strong differences of seasons.
Today, 10 years ago, we pushed our first tag #KeePassXC 2.0.3-http after forking from KeePassX: https://github.com/keepassxreboot/keepassxc/releases/tag/2.0.3-http
This first pre-release was the result of cleaning up and merging stalled pull requests from the original KeePassX repository, including the long-awaited browser integration (back then still based on the keepasshttp protocol). Three months later, in January 2017, we finally released the first stable KeePassXC version 2.1.0. 🧵 1/2
Any idea what I might be able to do to prevent nature from taking over our #PV every year?
Edit: which doesn't include disassembly which I can't and won't do.
Currently, I cut it down with an extension thingy which is hard work and might also put an additional risk on our modules.
Watching the next few months will tell you which companies care about actual technology, which are just riding the marketing hype train, and which are pure Trump sycophants.
Yandex has nine data centres in Russia. Ukraine has taken out three of them in just the past four days. And they could be doing the world a favour.
Because it's not just angry mums from Arkansas who have fallen silent. In Germany, views of the main AfD account have dropped 90% and engagement's down 60%. The party's apparent popularity is heavily boosted by smoke, mirrors and bots.
As a bonus, this could cripple Russian efforts to interfere in the US mid-term elections.
Three down... six to go.
Jupiter and the Moons
Explanation: How many moons can you see? The best answer is five: four orbiting Jupiter and Luna orbiting Earth. This multi-moon picture was possible because Earth's Moon moved directly in front of Jupiter last week. The featured image is a series of exposures near alignment taken from Westchester, New York, USA. The sunlit crescent of Earth's Moon, on the lower left, is overexposed, while the Moon's night side, on the upper right, is faintly illuminated by Earthshine. Lined up nearly vertically above our Moon, listed from bottom to top, are Jupiter's bright Galilean satellites: Ganymede, Io, Callisto, and Europa. Callisto, Ganymede, and Io are larger than Earth's Moon, while Europa is only slightly smaller. NASA's robotic spacecraft Juno is currently orbiting Jupiter and has made close passes near three of these moons.

Paul Krugman:
"deploying $8 billion in capital, the cost of a data center, in a non-AI sector will, on average, support more than 10,000 jobs, while investing that money in a data center will support only around 100 jobs. Or to put it another way, money spent building data centers will, on average, create only around one percent as many jobs as investing the same sum in other industries would have created."
Ode to Taco Bell, by Éros Brousson:
“For years I thought that Taco Bell was a fictional restaurant in video game like GTA, a place that only existed between a strip club, a gun store, and a man in a Hawaiian shirt committing a felony.
“Then I landed in Miami and there it was: between a strip club, a gun store, and a man in a Hawaiian shirt committing a felony. The purple bell glowing in the dark like a church for people whose evening has gone horribly wrong”
