I recently promoted the idea of PR bombing vibe projects with human PRs. It may become a hobby. To be honest, I feel a bit sorry fof all the 'I'm not a programmer' types in my cross-hairs. Half the time I remind them that the app they 'really' needed, already existed. Look, before you leap? And then I hit them with the PR bomb! I'm faster than they are MAD SCIENTIST LAUGH HERE.
Announcing #tooter 1.4.8 for #SailfishOs ... I've been clunking refactoring out quickly, so you might expect a bunch of updates. Sadly, only available via github since other channels are overwhelmed https://github.com/poetaster/harbour-tooter/releases 1. reduces visibility of action buttons, 2. proper download process feedback, 3. minor usability fixes.
Announcing ver. 1.4.2 of #tooter, your' friendly neighborhood #Sailfishos masto client. Mostly bug fixes but with initial handling of masto account notification links. Odd handling. We are all my guinea pigs :-) coming to chum & harbour and with assistance from @molan to open repos. If you wish, wait for proper link resolution in a couple of weeks.
A day spent preparing some simple hack documentation led down a rabit hole of punching music box melodies to crank, soldering feedback loops and trying to recall how that infinite delay I wrote works. Musicbox in the cinema at the bottom of the ocean.
@poetaster ok, at it again. Testing @abranson masto account plugin and #tooter notifications/remote call handling. Please poke this toot!
Ok, so I'm testing notifications in #tooter. Someome poke this post. Or send me virtual flowers :-)
U know I'm a #SailfishOs geek. Bet you didn't know Commoders' ceo is https://commodore.net/why-a-flip-phone/ fucking cool.
I have so many pet peeves. I should open a petting zoo.
I should probably stick to teckno. And drop in another drum machine. Noodle jazz, all the timing is Grids and the noodle is inserting phrases at semi-stochastic (ie. mix of attenuated pulses from the rack) intervals. It's a strange machine. The noodle semi-stochastic sequencer driven by MI grids and playing an MI braids synth and Framedrum.#poetastersTonetoys

If anyone is qualified to judge the merits, probably the mathematician? I'm not so convinced (as a programmer ) but, Donald Knuth, a sceptic, was pleased by solutions to open problems he framed being solved with claude in the loop. Knuth is a very thourough proof reader. Which makes me think the 'tool' approach in the right hands.... Does not address the ethics of energy consumption, of course.
Long day. Dogfooding. Announcing version 1.3.6 of tooter.
- more search corrections, @ displays more entries. WIP
- fix display of audio files and play / pause mouse areas
- revert tabs since they broke a number of things including search
- set dates to consistent long display
- correct loading on reaching end of list
- layout stuff to account for new media elements
I'm a bit tired. Still a lot of bugs and I hate reverting stuff. Up on github and coming to chum and harbour ... @molan ...

Also announcing versino 1.0.6 of the DWD, German weather service, app which adds the ability to organize stored locations and corrects location header displays for long place names. Exciting. Truly exciting stuff.
Both are built on github, dwd is live in chum, tooter is coming to chum and the harbour queue seems to be ....
My build looks like this ....The roar circuit and controls built onto a bit of a ... tree. Long flat head nails serve as the interface to the small processor which is the roar noise machine.
A great big thans to @noisio and https://circuit-control.de for creating a space for such great making of things and music.
Inaugurating #tinytunetuesday ... in honor of https://dirtyelectronics.org holistic approach to electronics and music making in social 'settings' ... playing roar .... This is roar from https://dirtyelectronics.org/ John Richards makes electronic musical communal experiences with people. And some machines. My build .... pic ....
@thp hi! I wonder if you would permit me to publish you petals, which I updated and pushed to open repos, to harbour? It's iconic, after all :-)
