i don't do self-promo very often, but if you like the things i post—art, computer tinkering, or just my posts in general—i have a tip jar! i don't have a "regular" job for disability reasons, so any support is dearly appreciated. thank you!

the more i thought about it, the more i realized i had a lot to say. so i made a blog post about sincerity and the pressure to perform comedy to be acknowledged https://blog.platinumtulip.net/embracing-sincerity/
wasn’t sure if i could pull off a pencil skirt or not so i drew my fursona wearing one (they/them only)
UPDATE: triple checked and there are no separate LED cables for me to unplug, i have no means to test which wire controls them, and openRGB is still not detecting them. so. i ordered a cheap LED-less set to replace them with and covered my PC with a towel. problem solved
looking at my PC case and feeling annoyed. quit glowing at me! and look at all of that empty space inside of there! you’re taking up all this space on my desk, and you’re not even using it all!
i still struggle to draw my fursona's body "accurately" because. well. it's complicated. even though i think body fat is cute and nice and desirable, and i *like* my body, i run into this weird subconscious, internalized fear that skinny bodies are "more desirable" and to narrow my shape as a result
i need to wear more clothes that make my boobs look good. & to embrace the natural shape of my tummy

after a lot of troubleshooting and being unable to turn off the case fan lights: literally might just be easier to buy a pack of inexpensive case fans without LEDs. this is so stupid lmfaooooooo
my god. you won’t believe this
last night i installed the kit of 32GB DDR4 RAM that damien gave me. after putting my PC back together + plugging everything in again, the LEDs in the case fans turned back on even though i have the LEDs disabled in the BIOS ?_? and openRGB hasn't detected anything even though i installed the udev rules
i didn't feel like digging into it last night, because i had already spent a stupid amount of time trying to diagnose a problem that was easily fixed in the end. (don't worry about it. seriously.)
RGB shit is such a headache though. really making me rethink my next case choice lmfao
needed to configure some things in my BIOS and needed a USB mouse. this was the first one i found. so. we make do
💭 i want to make a pair of kitty ears to wear.
autumnal tulip time
cursing myself for the way i hurriedly packed all of my earrings back in june. i know i didn’t have the time to pack it all properly but argh….!!! i really need a nice jewelry box…

poppy came over as i was cleaning up my tools, and i asked her, "poppy, do you think i'm cringe because i broke something instead of fixing it?". she rested her head on my hand and purred. she does not know of these things. she is just happy to be here
opening a keyboard switch for the first time was a deeply enlightening experience!
i will not be doing it again.
i really wish meal prep/batch cooking didn't kick my ass lol. HOWEVER: now i have a bunch of french toast to eat over the next several mornings. cooked slices freeze very well, they reheat in the toaster oven and taste near-fresh. (i am unfortunately super picky and sensitive to leftovers. lmao.)
if i didn't have the deeply unfortunate combination of "cannot stomach leftovers 99% of the time" and "gets fatigued while cooking easily" and also "the vast majority of premade foods don't appeal to me", then eating would probably be less of an issue for me. ahhhh... U_U
this isn't a "new" problem for me, but my current living situation has posed some... Extra difficulties for meals. (my previous living situation was far, far worse. but this still isn't great...)
