Given that Mike’s response, when it finally came, to the comments on the JDA article he mystifyingly posted was him coming in hot on one of the commenters… I think he’s made his choice, which means I won’t be participating in that site at all any more.
It’s a shame.
#MastoAdmin folks… is there any way to block statuses programmatically? I would love to have some kind of pluggable spam detection system that could pre-stomp this bullshit google share stuff.
A tumblr post for you (in two parts)

My registrar dashboards are like a Steam Library full of aspirational games.

It feels good to get this one off the ground, given how many silly domain name ideas I have don’t work out.
I feel like the people naming RCEs are getting lazy about naming. Someone cleverly pointed out that maybe we should name the pattern.

This is extremely disappointing. Mike should and bloody well *does* know better.
Given that @file770.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy has decided to platform Jon Del Arroz, I will no longer be writing pieces for them.
It's an easy equation. A place that welcomes someone that has harassed me for years is not a place I want to be associated with.

Dang it, only 19/20!
@mhoye To simplify things, mitmproxy added a --emurdha option
Hello #immich #homelab friends.
Looks like a recent update to the onnx runtime adds telemetry back to Microsoft. Because *of course* we cannot have nice things.
As far as I can tell, none of this has to do with Immich per se, it's a change to an upstream runtime. To the best of my knowledge, none of the telemetry goes to immich.
You can stop the telemetry with:
- Adding `ORT_DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1` to your `.env` file, and/or
- Using pi-hole or another ad-blocking DNS server to intercept and block the requests.
PLEASE DO NOT PILE ON THE IMMICH TEAM. This looks like a tiresome update to a dependency and not any intentional action on Immich's behalf.
More details can be found in the github issue here:

Check out some small good news for #Seattle.
Sara Nelson *didn't* get away with doing something illegal!
@mathowie Agree, but scaled up: Everyone who works for a silicon valley company should have to do at least 5 hours a week of this volunteer work themselves in a rural library!
RE: https://glammr.us/@jessamyn/117487748124291597
Everyone that works for a Silicon Valley company should have to read Jessamyn’s field reports of people trying to use their devices, then think about their own product quality, then make appropriate changes.
Voted early. Piece of shit dirtbag ahead of me was wearing a 'Praise Charlie Kirk' t-shirt.
Don't listen to the polls. Don't listen to pundits. Don't listen to infuencers.
Get your ass out there and VOTE. Because the shitheads ARE VOTING.

I’m waiting for the new wave of home assistant integrations that remove the “cloud” requirement.
I understand that there are people who think we must pass through the Vulnpocalypse to get to Vulnhallah, a time when all code is written by AI then checked by AI and has no vulns that AI can find, while we sit back and feast. But I don't think we can get there from here.
