This is how I remembered those lyrics but it’s not how they are but a mix of a couple verses

Saying goodbye to this beautiful antique mirror I’ve had for most of my adult life. And to my bright red conga drum. Going into a new era and giving up my attachment to beautiful things. A little reluctantly but we lose them eventually anyway one way or another.

“I can be the friend you want
I can be your confidant
I can be the right notion in the meantime
Throwing out the lifeline
Stand in the light
Stand in the light
Stand in the light”

Signed up for #Pittsburgh electricity, gas and internet today, plus my Pirates cap arrived. Two weeks from tomorrow the yinzer project begins.

Reminder to anyone who can get there, now is the time to go walk the Walnutport Canal Path to seethe brilliant foliage. But be aware, you may meet ducks. #october #autumn #pennsylvania

Just donated most of my orchids to the local orchid society, to be sold to members to support the society. This way they'll get happy, loving homes.

A man we met on a short walk in the woods thought I was my husband's mother.

Not coming back from that any time soon

Article headline: How bad is another case of Covid?

Subhead: Repeated infections are “a fact of life” at this point, experts say. But they warn there is no such thing as a risk-free case.

Ugh. Not a fact of life for the few of us who are still masking, not eating inside at restaurants, etc.

There's just waayyy too much adulting going on around here

Last week I lost my mail-in ballot. The house is chaos with the packing and moving and the trip to Pittsburgh. Anyway emailed the office of voting and elections and they said they could nullify that ballot and issue a new one. Today I went in, got my new ballot, voted, and dropped it in a ballot box.

Definitely didn’t want to skip this one!

I guess it’s time to let go of this figure I’ve kept on what for lack of a better term I’ll call my altar, for many years. I bought a Christmas decoration at a rummage sale and changed it into an emotional support angel to get me through some very tough times.

I heard someone say that when things seem to have significance for us it’s easy to forget that the significance isn’t actually *in* the thing but in us and we project it on the thing. So if I let go of this I’ll be ok.

Right?

I gave some of my begonias and my best clay pots to someone who has a stand at the farmers market and when they came to pick them up they brought me two jars of their own bees' honey. 💛

Boop the snoot and happy #Caturday from Bridget!

Last day for the flowers on the porch. Freeze tonight. I’ll pick a few for inside since the bees wouldn’t have them tomorrow anyway.

It was a good last year of gardening. I’m sure I’ll miss it but I’m hoping to use that time and energy for new pursuits.

There will be some hungry birds and pollinators here for the next year though. Nothing I can do about that.

Short panorama of Pittsburgh from near where we’re going to live. Warning: train sounds 🚊

Driving across the state on a sunny blue sky day and it’s hundreds of miles of astounding autumn color. 10/10 would recommend.

Just passed the church from the movie Dogma.
