I know it’s an island nation and they’re a seafaring people and the ocean is incredibly important to them, but it’s still kind of weird how often whales show up in British history.

I don't understand modern online stores. You want my money. I want your product. Why do you make it so hard? Constant popups, nonfunctional UI, broken search. We figured out how to do this 30 years ago. Are all these big companies really Mob fronts where they don't actually want any customers?

PICARD: Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

PICARD: No. Just the tea please.

PICARD: Alright. So... Uh... Go. Do it. Proceed? Make the tea.

COMPUTER: Ah. I see where the confusion is. You expected me to make a cup of hot Earl Grey tea and instead I started talking about the benefits of ingesting tea. That's on me.

Riker would not stop bisexually assaulting random office chairs. Can I please PLEASE just have a hot cup of Earl Grey tea for fucks sake.

COMPUTER: *gurgle* Mmmmmshofnbfjerry. *replicates something*

PICARD: That's not tea. That's a warm glass of wine.

COMPUTER: You're right to call me out on that. You wanted tea and I instead made a glass of warm wine.

PICARD: There are little jelly beans floating in it.

COMPUTER: Do you consent?

PICARD: *sigh*. Fine. I'll take the wine.

COMPUTER: Thank you for your consent. Your digital likeness has been uploaded to our training data centers.

Do I know any developers who do or want to do video editing professionally?

The trouble started at customs. “Anything to declare?” “Yeah, 64GB DDR4. Import tax prepaid.” The agent’s eyes widened for a fraction of a second. A form to fill out: importation of goods over 100,000USD. I open my bag for the search. They won’t find the compartment at the bottom with an entire terabyte of OpenAI DDR5 acquired from a cocky data center tech.

“You’re good to go.” I walk through the exit, and see two men peel away from the baggage carousel. They hadn’t picked up any luggage.

Fun word fact of the day. “Omelette” was originally “nomlette.” It changed by rebracketing in the 16th century: a nomlette -> an omelette. A small piece of original survives today, as the source of the word “nom,” onomatopoeia for eating.

Source: etymonline to look up a reasonable rebracketing date. Everything else extremely made up.

This came into my head earlier so now you can have it.
