Reminds me of this classic:

I haven't done these in a while, but there hasn't happened much lately: #Traffic to @heiseonline from #Mastodon is stable, #Bluesky & #Threads combined bring in less. Facebook has lost much recently; #Flipboard is stable too.

I'm a bit of strange duck. I love to tinker with most things tech, however when it comes to home automation I go full Batllestar Galactica mode. There shall be no networked home automation. So say we all.

🛑 NEW: THE SILENCE OF THE TROLLS was a great story. It just isn't supported by any real data — just a handful of misleading charts. Researchers tracking actual troll networks saw no drop. Why did so many want to believe it anyway? We dug in...

Wondrous tale

Hating everything doesn't actually make you any smarter than the rest of us. Most of the time, it just makes you bloody miserable.

You can, in fact, just like things.

How does Costco keep their hot dog deal at $1.49!

Next time you hear this refer them to the post bellow.

Rod Brind'Amour tells reporters Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jordan Staal has a tear in his calf and will miss significant time, as long as a couple months.

The spokesperson for six flags said "We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today,"

The "guest incident" the spokesperson is talking about is at least the 7th recorded death in their park.

The language the spokesperson is using minimizes what has happened. Imagine being the family of someone who died only for someone to come out and say it was merely a "guest incident"

"You already knew that I was talking about Donald Trump, who is a walking compendium of sociopathic traits.
The two traits I am concerned about at the moment are his impulsiveness (“let’s attack Iran!”) and his ability to sincerely believe his own lies as soon as they are out of his mouth." - Gwynne Dyer

At the local pumpkin festival with my wife today! Yes, I insisted on posing with the FU.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!

First couple of turnips! We will make them more elaborate when we stop stabbing ourselves with the knife.

CPC matching Trump now. What an achievement.

Just saw the most amazing thing. A kid peddling a bike. No electric motor or nuthin.

We will assess new claims as they come in. Russia’s information warfare operations are heterogeneous and distributed, often entrepreneurially, and generally operate in other countries. To the extent Yandex strikes may impact such operations, they would likely be in the area of toolchain dependencies: email, payments, AI, translations, etc. which can generally be swapped out for other solutions.

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada! 🍁
