I wrote about the fact that GOP spreading bigotry isn't (just) an electoral strategy, but is in fact a core fascist goal—and why it's hard for Ds to engage with that. www.everythingishorrible.net/p/bigotry-is...

It's like they're intentionally trying to upset me.

Ancestry dot com has updated my DNA results, and somehow I am now a _lot_ more Swiss. 67%, in fact.

The two hardest problems in Computer Science are

1. Human communication
2. Getting people in tech to believe that human communication is important

Randomly remembering an exchange I had with my former boss many years ago. At the time we used AIM for chat, and one day out of the blue he sent me a message:
Boss: 1Jesus3:16!
Me: LOL
Boss: dang it

This is so great! The University Health Network of Toronto built housing for 51 high-risk homeless people, and their emergency room visits dropped in half. The group is now increasing the rooms to 300. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ont-dunn-house-9.7365728

I'm not trying to shill for Big Pharma here, but if you are someone for whom life feels like a constant psychic knife wound...consider finding a good psychiatrist, if you can (sadly, this is easier said than done), & find out if there is medication that can help you.

There is no perfect solution. I am lucky to be best case scenario: I have never been put on a medication that gave me bad side effects, so I can't speak to that experience, but...they have the *potential* to change your life.

Well, there's one down. [redacted] more to go.

Crazy how a huge Russian data centre going offline coincides with fewer concerned moms from Arkansas questioning the safety of electric cars.
