When people tell me that they share my political views, but that “writing anticapitalism on the cover of a book means one will not be taken seriously anymore” (hinting at the subtitle of the book by @malteengeler and me)…that says a lot about how much they hide their political views out of fear.
For me, the book was my anticapitalist coming-out and I know that fear…but I wish more people came out so we could confront the fear and the redscare bs together.
Every empire falls.

Reading @alineblankertz & @malteengeler book 'Digitale Solidarität' in German 🤓
My understanding so far: this book aims to provide a political left perspective on how to create a better digital world than the current one. First by discussing the problems of capitalism & digitalisation followed by proposals for a diff approach. It pleads to combine digital & social issues, because they cannot be seen separately. They are part of the same struggle ✊
