Their suggestion for reducing token use? "Ask Claude how you can use fewer tokens."

I hate Unreal Engine so much. There are probably 7 idiomatic ways to load a level, and all of them are broken.

Now that C++ coroutines have been around for a while, I noticed something interesting. In C++, I write lots of generators, and not as many awaits. In C#, I mostly write awaits, and comparatively fewer generators (called iterators over there). C++ awaits are life-savers, though, compared to the callback hell that I would otherwise have to write.

What's your experience? Does it depend on the language, or am I doing something unusual? All languages with coroutines are welcome to join.

This is the fifth time I'm running into something like this.

So many modern game GUIs are bland. Flat or transparent, basic shapes with text, often with monochrome icons that an intern could knock out cheaply, if not lifted straight from a generic icon library.

I've recently gone through some older titles, and they actually look like games. A sad reminder of what was lost in the name of maximum profit.

If you're getting the __has_feature error in Unreal, just change that line to #elif 0. Takes 3 seconds, works even in Program Files, no need to bother with downgrading to a particular version of MSVC or whatever people usually recommend as the fix.
