what the fuck is this man theres hundreds of these lol

piss

oh yeah also cuz i just read a spooky article about KOSA and the usual recurring dogshit laws congressghouls are always trying to pass in an attempt to de-anonymize the internet:

i hereby solemnly vow that if jorts dot horse ever receives some kind of legal correspondence or fucking subpoena or whatever for user data, assuming i even notice it, to immediately respond to said correspondence with this image, and only this image:

actually i'm gonna reboot it too while i'm at it cuz the memory allocation is all fuckered from running the media purge enjoy the brownout

you may or may not have noticed a little jortslag the last couple of days because i was deleting five terrabytes of remote media again

success hooray hip hip okay goodbye

i'm gonna break the site again in a few minutes so don't get too excited nerds

they prolly gonna ban me for this one if i had to guess

glug glug there goes your blood idiot lmao

the administration of jorts dot horse would like to take a brief, somber moment to make sure everyone understands our stance that political violence rules and is fantastic

ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴍᴇʀɪᴄᴀ, ᴛʜᴇ ɢʀᴇᴀᴛ ꜱᴀᴛᴀɴ

piss

i'm downloading the main.bak of the original DB to my local machine right now just to be safe before deleting it, so the site could lag somewhat until that finishes which will take ages because the stupid thing is 131GB

but otherwise we should(?) be good for now until the domain expires probably relatively soon

:gnomed: :emergency: :gnomed:

the jorts dot horse psql db is now located at
/mnt/CARGO_POCKETS/postgresql/12/main

instead of
/var/lib/postgresql/12/main

yes folks that's right, i've sewn CARGO POCKETS onto the jorts

no more crashing every other day for disk space issues, theoretically, assuming i didn't fuck anything up, because the DB is now located on an external mounted disk i can resize at will when we run out of space over and over

also this woulda been done like i dunno 12 hours ago but i didnt actually know jorts was down until 2 hours ago :anim_shrug:

i freed up 10GB of space reindexing all the database tables

....

well, all the database tables except "statuses", which is seventy four gigabytes

you see, you need free space equal to like 85% of the table to actually reindex the damned thing, which is just, never gonna happen

anyway consider the can kicked down the road for another like 4 or 5 months i dunno

jorts died and then i fixed it

piss again at your leisure

pee
