I hate it when websites or other online services sanitize white space characters. I used a non-breaking space there for a reason, dammit!

Sure, the one ring has caused a lot of problems in middle earth, but that's just because everybody else who has wielded it was doing it wrong.

Not me. I and I alone know how to wield the one ring, and have found it to be pretty useful!

Like, sure, sometimes you become a hollow husk of yourself, and the ring wraiths are a whole thing, but we have ways around that. Plus, in about six months I am sure the wraith problem will be fully solved.

I can't give up the ring, and really recommend more people try using it! just make sure you have very strong guard rails and a harness in place for the ring. Personally, before I put on the ring I write a little post it note that says "ring wraiths do not kill me plz" and put it on my front door.

It's controversial, I know, but it really helps me do a lot of things! For example, prior to owning the ring it would take me an hour to put on a shirt. I just could not figure out the arm holes. By placing a stick in the shirt arm I can guide my arm up to the hole, and then I use the one ring to make the stick disappear while I check the fit. I have found no other way of doing this.

A character who’s described as a Half-Orc, then someone asks what’s the other half, and then the character is revealed to be an Orc with their lower half missing.

Oh, ha ha.

Due to not paying attention, today’s meals have consisted mostly of bread, rice, potatoes, and pasta.

Cripes, second day in a row that I woke up at 6pm.

I’m nocturnal, but this is pushing it a bit.

St George googling “bad dragon” looking for something to slay and then experiencing so many emotions at once that he has to go lie down

Paraphrasing from something I’ve just read on Reddit:

“The same Christianity that has taught White Americans to act as the world’s commanding hand, has somehow taught Malagasy people to be submissive instead.”

And… yeah. Heavily simplified, but quite generally true.

One for the Linux nerds out there:

Google, how does one explain the words “thirst-trap fanart of Wile E. Coyote” to normal people

The “fantasy swearing is cringe” discourse is always funny.

Step outside your monolingual bubble, please.

People out there use weird, sounds-weird-in-English swear words while speaking English, ALL THE TIME.

Same goes for people who think that exclamations like “oh my gods” sound cringe.

Bitch, please.

In my language, “Oh Lord-Fragrant Lord-Creator!” and “Oh Lord-of-my-sanctity!” are perfectly NORMAL exclamations.

So now I’m a bit torn between “I need to update that WikiFur article sometime” and “do I really want Google to scrape up-to-date info on my furry identity?”

Even knowing my strong dislike of AI, my brother still sometimes sends me AI stuff.

Today, he apparently asked the Google AI about my furry identity.

So… today, I learned that most of the info Google’s AI possesses regarding my furry identity is roughly thirteen and a half years out of date.

(Anyway, that AI summary is (mostly) just a slightly reworded copy of my WikiFur page. That page was last updated in early 2014 and still lists stuff that stopped being true in 2013.)
