Forgot to mention that I'm now a member of TRSi again after 'sleeping' for about 38 years 👴 😴

Things that happen at Deadline...

I wonder why AROS roms take so long to boot compared to an official Kickstart rom?

New project: Aros Classic. A fork of aros that can actually run fast enough on real 68k #amiga hardware. Who's with me? 😂

I'm about to lowkey get into karting starting next week. I've done it before on recreational ones all the way to 125cc shifter karts but never tried to see how fast I could be if I spent the time to properly learn.

I miss racing, which I did when BMX racing in my youth in Francr and then again in my 40s over here so I think this may scratch that itch.

Those new electric race karts both look fast and easier to own/maintain.

Stay tuned...

Happy Birthday to me and to the #Amiga 1000 🥳🎂🎁

Toying with the idea of flying over the pond for @deadline_demoparty in October ☺️

I'm continuing my exploration of de-googled Android by getting a Pixel 10a tomorrow to give @GrapheneOS a try side by side with the fairphone.

Frantically refreshing the system update page on my @murena Fairphone 6 waiting for /e/os 4.0 to appear... 🫣

Have no use for it but... WANT!!! 😍🤑

I love this little phone...

This was cause by an error in one of my scripts. Sorry. It is fixed now.

The C64 one is out of stock for the first batch so I got myself a little portable #meshtastic radio to experiment with.

@rygorous @aeva But unfortunately in anything related to an actual profession (games, web, etc…) it probably will continue to be filled by slop and people who don’t respect the craft, who see it like the tedious part that should be optimized or skipped.

@rygorous @aeva I for one still think that coding IS the fun part and that learning is the goal. It’s what drives me and what feeds my soul.

There are a lot of people like us. The demoscene (just came back from revision) for example is only made of coders coding for coding’s sake. As an art. They are also a great bunch to hang out with.

How hard is it to run your own mail server? Asking for a friend. 😏
