When using #dotnet #vscode I feel super relaxed. But whenever I have to use #androidstudio and anything changes or updates, I'm shitting my pants it'll break the project and I'll never get it working again. #java #gradle

Margaret Hamilton, computing pioneer who led the software behind the Apollo program, passed away last week. She advocated for high-assurance software and introduced the term software engineering.

This is great, it's basically a #linux distro for #android. For me specifically, it allows me to use my 5G tablet, which has a physical keyboard sleeve, as a Linux laptop. More specifically it allows me to use both #mono and #dotnet on the tablet. https://termux.dev/en/

I hate #flatpack and #snap.
I don't need either. Completely self contained #dotnet/#Csharp apps work just fine.

I can't iterate enough how amazing this game is. I play it with my two oldest kids almost every day. What's interesting, to me, is that this yet another game written in #csharp (#unity).

Anyway, if you haven't tried this and you
want to learn a few things as a game developer about game design... get it!

#Microsoft is increasing the price of #Windows #licenses.... Wait what?
You're already the worst operating system (aside from anything #apple), forcing people to buy new PC's even though they don't have to and now you're increasing the price? You'd think this would incentivize people to move to #linux... but honestly we all know that's not happening... Once again the end users are the victim here....

(fyi Windows isn't exactly bad, the artificial computer requirements it has are bad)

Hold on to our old hardware. Don't throw out old PC's/Laptops, give them a second life with #linux

Game developers: Target the #steamdeck as your performance target.

#gamers: stop throwing your money at AAA game publishers.

#ram production can't keep up, and it seems most of the supplies may be sold out until way into 2027

Your old, working, hardware is becoming more valuable day by day.

Still want to use #Windows?

Now #vscode is constantly begging me to sign into #github. It's been my main editor for the last decade but now I'm starting to get worried. #enshittification #dotnet #microsoft

@0xabad1dea 你好， I get why you're learning Chinese, maar waarom Nederlands?

I actually hate #java. Not the language, but the whole SDK/NDK thing. It's a disaster. Compared to that, #dotnet is super easy. Pick a version and go.

I am torn between reading the #jackreacher books and watching the #reacher series because they are both so damn good. #books #tvseries

First time I got fired in my entire career....
And of course it's because of #ai because #ai is gonna save them... NOT.

No worries though, ready for the next thing, their loss. #jobs

I am hunting down this issue where a #godot 3.5.2 app runs flawlessly on Android for days and then just dies.
No unhandled exceptions, nothing.

We have the exact same application deployed on hundreds of piece of identical hardware with the exact same hardware and #android #bsp

Some never crash, others crash every hour.

It's driving me nuts.
#godot #csharp #gdscript

@Migueldeicaza are you still involved with https://gui-cs.github.io/Terminal.Gui/ because the instructions on that page don't help.
It installs some v1 version and the tui-simple template is not available. Manually specifying the v2 also does not help. #dotnet #tui

I don't get how people still feel safe using #windows or #macos, given all the #political influence over #bigtech

Basically you are the #product and they own your data and are more than willing to hand it over to any gov.

Is it ignorance or laziness ?

Do you shit with the door open?

Why does #microsoft still focus on getting as many developers as possible on #dotnet if they believe #developers will be replaced by #ai anyway?

Upgraded to #ubuntu 26.04, now I can't compile #godot #csharp projects anymore....

Giving people access to #AI is like giving a toddler a shotgun. We need a driver's license to operate vehicles, perhaps we need something similar to use AI?

The contributors of the #dotnet #nanoframework are amazing.
Withing one day of me asking for support for the #esp32-p4 version < 3, Adrian Soundy added support for it.

Think about it for a second, you get to run applications written in C# on #ESP32 or #STM32 #mcu
