cc: @rl_dane the rss is dead and well under 6ft btw

sooo i just pushed to prod on a friday the newest version of my website

https://clouderst.xyz

it's still a wip, but i really felt that i needed to push it so there you are!

still have a lot of polishing work to do, but i'm done for tonight!

#blog #personalwebsites #website

and it's not that I didn't tell them back then, but they just told me to not mind it, not even when my own fucking cousin started bullying me

had a fight today with my parents about how i was bullied a few years ago and how it affects me today and like they just downplayed it and told me to not mind it.

and they also "emphasised" that maybe I should've told them. but in what fucking world does the bullied child tell their parents that couldn't make it to the start and end of the school year for the past five years

to all docker nerds, how do i go around running some services on a system with apache do i:

1. leave apache uncontainerized and use the linked ports from each docker container

2. containerize apache(idfk how to do this)

3. fuck docker i'm all with kubernetes

#docker #linux #sysadmin #askfedi #duckduckfedi

Happy @gnome 51 release day to all who celebrate, now just gotta wait for the arch to package it :D

(yes I know that *for me* it's barely 1:35 but i dont care, i'm already late)

sigh

no matter how much @libreoffice promotes itself as a no forced ai alternative to ms office, remember that it is partially slop-coded

why can't we have nice things without ai?!

i might just be a shitty exclusivist type of person but I don't really like the type of advertising and promotion Linux is getting lately. Almost all the videos are titled "You need to switch to Linux now!" or some derivative and, much like snake oil, they sell Linux as an all problem fixing tool, disregarding some basic aspects that really throw people off.

And i especially don't like the promotion of distros like CachyOS and Omarchy (setting aside DHH). Nobody should recommend anything Arch based for a beginner. CachyOS may solve some issues, but it also introduces a lot more bugs and problems by making Arch "easier" (one example is packagekit and i even broke some installs because of it). Bazzite is very good, Linux Mint is very good and the "customisations" that Cachy offers don't really make a difference, Linux mostly works the same, no matter what modules you enable or modify. Pop_OS! if system76 worked a bit more on it would also be a great great gaming distro.

That's just how I feel. I love that Linux is growing but the thing is that there are many Linux distros that cater to different people and throwing newbies onto something arch based does more harm than good when there are alternatives (fedora, Ubuntu based)

hi everyone!

i know this might sound weird, because it is, but would anyone be willing to talk for a bit?

i am not feeling so good mentally and i think that maybe talking with someone would help.

i am sorry if this post made your day worse or made you sad.

Oh my god, these are real, actual slides from a SoftBank presentation. Pulitzer-worthy

Okay so, new post? Talking about some older tech that I use daily? Of course!

I also managed to scrap some RSS in there, but it's more of a notification system than a full fledged implementation so you'll still have to suffer my horrible website design cause I don't want to fill the xml file with the whole content in the post.

edit cause i forgot to put the link uhh: https://clouderst.xyz/flows/old_stuff.html

cc: @rl_dane finally i did it... @amin idk i think u said something about rss too

#blogpost #blog

@rl_dane so i'm finally coming around to putting an rss feed for my website, but i cannot find any resources for how to do it, only trashy ai made website telling how good rss is.

do you have any resources or any concrete examples?

I love intentionally nuking my server by instantly following like 30 accounts on different servers and overloading federation :3
