@FreakyFwoof In ClipMan, can I copy and paste text while preserving the formatting? In Windows, I copied some text from a web page in Edge to an MS, and I lost the heading and link formatting. I glanced through the options and the manual, and I didn't see anything about preserving the formatting versus just copying the text.

I’m starting to use ClipMan on Windows, but I'd also like to get it working on my Mac, but I seem to be going around and around. I think I've installed it, correctly and I added it to the Accessibility list in the Privacy settings, but hitting command+shift+v just beeps. I'll mess around with it more today, but if you have any suggestions, I'll take them!
Is there any phrase scarier to a blind person than "The new and improved app is finally here."

I was getting frustrated that I could never get the volume loud enough on my iPhone when I was listening to anything, BARD, SiriusXM, Spotify, ... I also kept getting these messages that my volume had been too high over the last seven days, and I was in danger of damaging my hearing. This didn't make any sense to me since I couldn't get the volume high enough.
Well, I was poking around different settings under sounds and VoiceOver, and I found out that my audio ducking was set to always. Once I changed it back to "when speaking" everything was fine!
When I brought my lemon tree inside a few weeks ago to get it out of the freezing weather, my wife noticed that it had some buds on it. I checked this morning, and it has even more buds on it and they're betting bigger!
I bought this tree from a local Home Depot last summer. It's only about two and a half feet tall, so I'm surprised it already has buds on it. I wonder if this means I'll get lemons this year. This also seems early to be getting buds. I'd expect them more in the spring and not in January in Texas.
I've been using the new Microsoft Outlook for a while, and although it was usable and had some nice features, it was never quite as accessible as I was hearing it was from other blind users. I went back and reviewed chapter 4 of David Kingsbury's book, Windows Screenreader Primer from the Carroll Center for the Blind, and changing the following setting made all of the difference! 😎
In the view group, I went into the Reading pane menu and checked the Popout only item.
I just realized that Mona 7 (Mona) is a fork of Mona 6 (Mona Classic) and not an upgrade. Looks like the main difference is the business model. The feature set seems pretty similar now but future development will be going into Mona 7. Do I have that right?
I'm thinking I'll sick with Mona Classic for now, since I did make a one time payment for it and switch to Mona 7 once the new enhancements start showing up. I do want to support the developer for placing such an emphasis on accessibility and VoiceOver support.
I can never remember the braille symbol for the hash tag, but Perplexity just came to the rescue. I find I'm using AI more and more lately.

The other day I was wondering if at the midterms there was enough of a blue wave to take back the House and even get to 60 seats in the Senate. If so then Trump would be impeached and removed from office. But then, maybe the two scariest words in the English language hit me, "President Vance!" I wonder if Trump specifically picked Bance because he figured people would be too scared of a Vance presidency that they wouldn't impeach him.US Politics
So the airlines want to ask the Whitehouse to roll back regulations requiring the airlines to accommodate disabled travelers. I don't think this has to do with dismantling DEIA programs, I think it's more about just not caring about anyone but able bodied people. #accessibility https://overcast.fm/+AA9T3n-hKI4
If people can put aside the fact that she's trans, I'm not sure how anyone can listen to this podcast and not come away with the understanding that this is just a smart and classy person. https://www.washingtonpost.com/podcasts/post-reports/rep-sarah-mcbride-on-what-democrats-can-still-get-done/
I'm not sure if I've seen this selfcare tip before, but take the time to click on those unsubscribe links at the bottom of your emails you don't want to see any more. I know I get lazy and figure clicking on the delete button is easier than unsubscribing, but never seeing those announcements anymore does eliminate a tiny bit of frustration. BTW, only do this for legitimate sources of these emails, such as a product you purchased which automatically subscribes you to their announcements. Doing this for unrecognized spam ware could cause more harm than good. In those cases, add the source of those emails to your block list. #selfcare
It's all fun and games to hate on the weird math problems they give you in school, until you need to measure 1/2 cup for your recipe and all you can find are the 1/3 and 3/4 cup measuring cups
I got my telescoping fiber glass cane from Ambutech today. I like it ,but I still need to take it out for a test spin. It has a dome tip, which I'm also curious to try out. I like it better than the folding canes I have since it's more rigid. It's also lighter than the Urban Explorer from Awarewolf. https://ambutech.com/
So today at the office I was on a call where we were going over how to review this document. I was finding out that it's a PDF, and we can't download it and bring it up in the Adobe desktop application. It's in SharePoint and we can only view it in the web browser. I explained that I was blind and that PDF and web interfaces can be problematic for a blind user. She said she didn't want to offend me, and I told her that was OK. She ended up asking me "Are you physically blind?" I was speechless. I finally stumbled out something like "Well, yes." Not sure what she was thinking, but I still don't know what other kind of blindness I could have meant! 😖
