This opinion piece by Morley Safer’s daughter really brings the 60 Minutes/Bari Weiss topic into sharp focus.
If he were still alive and working at 60 Minutes, yes, they would have fired him too.

Exactly one year ago, I was waiting for an ambulance because my left leg kept buckling when I tried to get up to get to the bathroom. My left hand was floppy, and the left side of my face felt weird, like Novocain was wearing off.
It started before midnight. I kept muttering “this is ridiculous.” I lost valuable time and missed the window for a medication that could have helped my recovery.
FAST: Face droop? Arm weak? Speech difficulty? Time to go to the ER!

Happy #Purrsday, everyone!
It’s the #Quilting Danger zone: my favorite designer #LaurelBurch on sale. Plus other designs from the same manufacturer #Clothworks that’s in my saturated-color wheelhouse.
But I promised myself I wouldn’t buy more fabric until I finished some projects…

Anyone who has used a TENS device for chronic pain, tingling/burning, carpal tunnel, or neck stiffness, what was your experience?
My OTs used it occasionally, I used it for carpal tunnel today. Will try cervical (neck) tomorrow.
Time to try to unwind - now listening to “Nightcrossings” on Radio Kansas. It’s 3 hours most nights. If you like Echoes (Fridays at 9pm) or Hearts of Space (3 hours on Sunday at 9pm, then this show is kind of a “best of” the genre.
Sleep headphones are the best!
And the news keeps on coming.

Not my president, he’s just this guy, you know?

Every time Rubio is asked a straight question, “what is the legal authority for the United States to be running Venezuela” he gives a twisty answer.
He also looks like a man glumly watching his dreams turn to ash while calculating the odds of imprisonment.

If the rumors prove out, Epstein took the short route home, and Trump will take the 25th, but only if President Vance gives him a full, unconditional pardon.
Hmm.

Happy #Caturday Eve!
Miss Catty Lavelle is warming up for tomorrow’s events with her schmousie.
Her hoomin catdad offered it to her as a replacement, as she had been playing with some bits of yarn that were a choking hazard.
This is a really tragic and infuriating story. We need to do better by our veterans who weren’t born citizens, who were promised citizenship but didn’t receive it without a struggle.
There’s a Spanish language version of this story, too.

Light poles at O’Hare Airport appear to have given up all hope. Will the plane land? Will they ever get through Customs and Immigration?
Remember our Declaration of Independence - we rally today for Life, Ribbety, and the Pursuit of Hoppiness.
Delighted to find that my local Michael’s now has a small aisle of fabric, a Michael’s & JO-ANN fabric collab.
It’s really well organized with good prices and tiny images on the tags showing the fabric. They had cotton solids, seasonals, character, and patterns - even some nice batik!
