(well, they'll want to debate it until they're in power, then they'll just do it for as long as they can get away with it)

Fascists will always try to debate things that aren't up for debate for people with a sense of humanity.
Accepting to debate with them is accepting there's a magical middle way between genocide and non-genocide that somehow wouldn't just be genocide but slower.

TIL about the Olivia Hill rule.

It starts "If you're a fascist, you're not welcome to play this game. It's against the rules."

As you can imagine, it causes fascists and adjacents to out themselves.

"It's an emergent intelligent entity!"
Okay, in which way?
"I can outsource my thinking to it!"
Is a calculator intelligent?
"Yes, by my definition it would be slightly intelligent."
So, a calculator is intelligent because you can use it to solve a math problem, so an abacus is intelligent, as are scratches in soft clay, beans dropped in a recess etc.

Some people are so hellbent at confusing a tool of intelligence with intelligence itself.

Error: Special character in password does not feel special enough, spend more quality time with it and would it kill you to sometimes bring home some flowers or something.

Error: password must contain:

Three lower case letters for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven upper case letters for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine digits for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One special character for the Dark Lord on his dark throne;
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

One username to rule them all, one password to find them,
A second factor to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them;
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie

I just cannot get over the idea that the security required here is not to protect the product from malicious users or outside attackers, it's the fact that one must treat the core of the product, the thing that they are actually selling, as malicious

#1 will be a factor for as long as the US sees it as a factor. They don't give a proverbial rat's ass about deals.
#2 - congrats to Greenland for being part of the process.
#3 is where it's at: the US got land. And according to a danish special ops guy interviewed on SR it's got the longest airstrip on Greenland, no civilians close by, and perfect training ground for extreme conditions.

So what are the Danish going to do when the US leaves NATO and declares Greenland theirs?

About the DK/US Greenland agreement? The US won that one. #uspol #dkpol
Sure, it's basically the same as the 1951 one, but there are afaik three differences:
1. the widely touted "poison pill" that the deal's only valid as long as the US is still in NATO.
2. the Greenlanders were part of the signing.
3. the US got a base on the eastern side.

Now, that last one's the important one.
Because:

This is the kind of thing with 3D printing that makes me shudder: knickknacks that are funny / cute, but quickly forgotten / discarded, generating more waste -- and in the case of nations without even a semblance of a recycle/reuse system (mostly e.g. controlled burning for heat extraction) just getting landfilled and microplasticing the environment.

@mekkaokereke it’s also like the Nazi bar effect in tech. They didn’t say anything when the fascists showed up. Then anyone with antifascists tendencies got pushed out.

Gudars skymning vad sportnyheter är jobbiga att lyssna på.
Alla! Hojtar! Hela! Tiden!
Som att lyssna på USAiska kanaler fast på svenska.

Meanwhile, Italy, who screamed the loudest about the dangers of immigration and wanted to block Spain, let a Russian national enter via regular tourism lanes. He then procured a drone and explosives to attack Leipzig.
Almost every crisis is manufactured by the same baker's dozen of politicians / billionaires.

Oavsett vem som förlorar, vinner Oracle alltid.

Får väl se det som ett exempel på vandelsprövningen.

Oookej…?

"be the master of your home feed"
How will that work, exactly, when people like LinuxIsBest or Dav1d spin up new accounts whenever to explicitly jump into the hashtags you use for community, or quote your posts for dogpiling?

Dude's not the first one I've seen putting the onus on fixing a community issue on individual Black people with those exact talking points _this week_.
FOSS bros need to shape up since forever.
