I would burn out horribly assembling
lab things on consecutive nights, but
it surely was a lot more fun than...
sitting mostly empty in class and
LITERALLY just browsing Discord
on my phone all day. No, you can't
start up a call with your friends or
write code, there are rules desiring
silence in the classroom, and only
50 minutes from now, you'll be off
to a different place anyway, so you
better not unpack all your stuff and
start deeply focusing on your code.

you write `PERMISSION_LOCK_SCREEN`, then
years later you make an API for hooks into
the lock screen mechanism, and suddenly
your permissions there need "levels",
so you write a permissions system
that has an entire new set of
permissions with levels, but
someone put their fancy
new threading model
into it, which causes
misses for certain
permission-check
failures on the
app's side, so
developers,
annoyed,
*leave.*

I should write a tiny OS worth of APIs /s
Framebuffer access, audio buffers,
app contexts, "lock screen",
oversimplified thing one
could simulate on real
hardware or some
implementation
for plain fun...!

Thank God I no longer
rely on The Fediverse
for my social life.

Hypothesis: Hashtags on posts are for humans.

Often, posts I make with no tag happen to find
*exactly* the people they should reach.

Often, posts I tag heavily reach literally no one!

Do tags exist *only* for humans to follow?
Most sites seem to auto-tag.
