So. 👁 Cataracts, and their removal.

I'm sure some of you old farts out there have experience with this.

From what I gather, it's done in the office, with local anesthesia, takes about an hour, and involves removing the clouded lens from my eyeball, and slipping in a new, synthetic lens.

Recovery time about 2 weeks, with steadily improving vision as of day two. An eye patch for the first (two? three? one?) days.

Then the other eye.

That time period in recovery, with the eye patch, is what I'm particularly interested in. Can any of y'all who've had this done tell me how long you wore the patch?

A 7-pack of eye patches in various colors would be fun, but if I only have to wear an eye patch for a day and a half, twice, it's not really worth the extra €.
