I was once sitting on one of those facing bench seats on public transit, with two other men, strangers all. I realised in passing that the three of us had beards.

A fourth man, clean shaven, boarded and came to sit with us, and I held up a hand and told him: "I'm sorry sir, this is the bearded section."

He hesitated!

And then we all burst laughing, he as well.

One of the others let him off the hook:
"well I guess it's ok this one time!"
