Putin/Russia have money invested in the Alaska #PolarLNG project using sanctioned Russian technology with funding from a sanctioned Russian company. This would have been unlawful under the Lindsey Graham RU sanctions bill passed by Congress that Trump suddenly blocked from going into effect.

The RU minority ownership of the PolarLNG project using banned RU tech would give RU a toehold into US energy infrastructure, a national security threat.

A new US Senator Peltola will ask questions. Trump's boy current MAGA Senator Dan Sullivan is an RU project rubber stamp.

Why is Trump buying 36 Million barrels (4.8M tons) of Russian diesel?

1. The US is a net EXPORTER of diesel; the US EXPORTS excess US made diesel. We import a fractional amount of ULSD class (15ppm sulphur) diesel from Canada. Why would Trump suddenly buy #DirtyDiesel to prop up Putin's illegal war on Ukraine?

2. Russian diesel is refined in Russian refineries to current Euro-3 sulphur standards of 350 ppm vs Ultra Low Sulphur Distillate (ULSD) standard US diesel of 10 to 15 ppm. Due to bombing of 25% of its diesel refineries Russia has lowered its sulphur standards to Euro-2 levels (500 ppm). [Euro-4 is 50 ppm, Euro-5 is 10-15 ppm.]

4. Trump's EPA is responsible for imported dirtier RU diesel compliance with US ULSD and with other toxic heavy metal standards like lead.

5. Non US ULSD standard fuel (Euro-3 and Euro-2) can cause operating failures in US equipment (catalytic converters, fuel filters, engines, furnaces, etc) and improper refining can destroy metal components in use by failing to meet ULSD lubrication standards.

6. Why would Trump be now selling Putin's equivalent of South American mystery meat to Americans?

Answer: CORRUPTION & GRIFT.

If US refineries slow or halt production on #2 diesel to thwart Trump's order ending exports of diesel to increase US supply (odd, since US refineries ALREADY refine more #2 than all Americans use), Trump can always use the Defense Production Act to force them to produce. The US gov can buy it up and both fill and release diesel from gov storage and drive down diesel prices.

He invoked DPA to help oil companies in his first term, he can easily invoke it for the people, now. But, the chickenshit won't.
